Kevin Taylor

Mr. Taylor started his broadcasting career at The Counsellors Ltd, in Nassau, where he worked in the video production department, producing television shows and commercials for local media. During that time Mr. Taylor also worked as an announcer for More94.9 FM during the morning drive. He then moved on to The Bahamas Tourism Channel as the production director for their in-room television channel. During this time, Mr. Taylor wrote produced, directed, shot, edited, narrated and played the music for his first documentary film, “Robert & Harry Go to Sea”. The film received an outstanding response on local Bahamian television and he was encouraged to send the film onto the film festival circuit. The film was an official selection at the New York International Independent Film Festival, The Golden Sheaf Film Festival in Canada, and won “best documentary” at the first Bahamas Film Festival Mr. Taylor then went to work for Kerzner International’s flagship property, Atlantis Paradise Island, as the production manager in the Public Relations department. He was responsible for all on-island video production as well as producing training videos for Kerzner International’s global human resources team. Kevin left Kerzner International in April 2005 to pursue freelance work. It was during this time he filmed his second documentary “Chu Chu Meets Marvellous”. He wrote, produced, directed, shot, narrated and edited this film also. The film was selected for a world premiere at the Digital Narrative Arts Film Festival in Toronto, Canada and won “Best Documentary” at the second Bahamas Film Festival. Currently, Kevin’s production company, DreamKatcher Media produces the weekly television show, “Tourism Today” for the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. Mr. Taylor is currently in pre-production for his first feature length film, “Quirke”.
